Telegram has rolled out its native TON Wallet to U.S. users, marking a major expansion of its crypto offerings.
Built on The Open Network (TON), the wallet allows users to send, receive, and store tokens like Toncoin and USDT directly within the app—no extensions or external wallets needed.

The self-custodial design ensures users keep control of their private keys, while features like in-chat token transfers, staking, trading tools, and fee-free USDT purchases offer a seamless experience. An off-ramp option also enables direct withdrawals to bank cards.
Telegram says upcoming updates will add scam protection features such as whitelists, blacklists, and transaction previews.
Already live in Asia and parts of Europe, TON Wallet has surpassed 100 million activations. With over 87 million users in the U.S., the company sees major growth potential.
The wallet, developed by The Open Platform, follows a $28.5M funding round led by Ribbit Capital and Pantera Capital, pushing its valuation to $1B. Telegram aims to make the wallet the central hub for its growing ecosystem of Web3 apps.
